Stair makeovers & custom installs in Madison, AL

Madison and Harvest houses are often newer, with builder stairs that do not match the hardwood once the first-floor plank is in. Rocket City Stairs remodels those stairs — solid treads, painted or stained risers, and rails that belong with the floor — or we install a new custom run when the existing stair is not worth keeping.

A lot of Madison work is matching. The floor is already down (or going down with the sister floors crew). The stairs still look like the builder left them: carpet on the treads, MDF risers, a skinny rail. We replace that with hardwood treads, skirt boards, and a newel-and-baluster system that reads as one interior.

Harvest and ZIP 35758 are on the same route as Madison. We measure on site, sample stain on your actual wood, and write the estimate before a tread is cut. Dust containment stays in place while we work in a lived-in house.

If you need metal-only exterior rails, that is a different trade. If you need an interior stair that matches the oak in the foyer, that is us.
