A new install starts with the opening, the rise and run, and the floor it has to match. We build solid wood treads, risers, and skirt boards, then set newels and a handrail that follows the pitch. Balusters can be wood or metal. The stain is sampled on your boards, not guessed from a chip.
Builders already know the floors side of this company. The stair install is the same standard: the tread color has to blend with the hall, the nosing has to meet the plank, and the rail has to look like millwork — not a kit. Chad’s note on this site is about that blend. We hold stairs to it.
If the existing stair can stay, a makeover or remodel is usually the better job. We will say so on the estimate. Licensed, fully insured, and we work in Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, Athens, and the towns on that route.
